Iraqi allies warn US over Falluja news.bbc.co.uk Whatever you think over the US reaction in Falluja, the fact of the matter is that we are alienating more and more of the country. Kurdish IGC member Mahmoud Uthman described US policy as counter-productive. The Kurds are our strongest allies among the Iraqis and the ones with the most to gain with Iraq under US domination. When they start complaining you know things aren't going right. That was my problem with the war from the start. I didn't believe we could effect a long term fix to the country that would work. I foresaw a giant Palestine/Israel situation. Unfortunately my fears seem have been realistic. This violence is going to wax and wane for as long as we are there, during which time we strengthen the fanatics. There were and are better ways to handle our problems with oil producing nations.
