Lazy, yes, but also rich. It's stupid to fight with a Middle Easterner over a tiny amount of money. Just don't trust them again. After they've burned enough people, they're finished. And everybody hates them for being liars and thieves.
When dealing with a Middle Easterner, if they are doing work for you, never give them the money until they are done, and the job is done to your satisfaction. And if you are doing work for them, never even begin until you have the entire amount up front. If they give you partial payment, that's all you'll ever see.
Be constantly prepared to renegotiate, and constantly prepared to walk away.
I have to say, I've never seen one of them do work I'd be satisfied with, anyway. There's no other group of people I'd say that about, not Chinese, not Mexicans, not Africans. They do make nice rugs and some of them are good cooks. |
