Yes, it is a defense of Saddam's government to insist Iraq had no involvement in the 1st WTC bombing in light of the fact that 1) Ramzi Yousef used fake documents inserted into Kuwait's records during the period of Iraqi occupation to escape, 2) Saddam's government supplied one of the bombers with sanctuary and a government job after his escape from the US (a violation of UNSC Res 687), and 3) the 1993 attack was timed to coincide closely with the second anniversary of Iraq's defeat in the first Gulf war. These are all evidences of Iraqi government invovlement either before or after the fact or both. For you to dismiss it out of hand is a defense of Saddam's government. And that is despicable.
