I just knew it, there is a survivalist at the heart of every right wing..uh..moderate. For the core 40% of Bush's support, Armageddon or the rapture precedes the last act. While for the rest of yea of little faith, you fear you will become vigilantes at the end of time. Both factions expect it all to end pretty badly. We liberals think salvation arrives as a present from the old world to reinvigorate those who invented it. The US gave Europe modern democracy and they intend to return it along with free health care and more holidays for the working stiffs. Our dream is Copenhagen for everyman; while you sleep you toss over visions of Deadwood or Magog. It's a big difference between us.
