Kerry has come out with specific plans on almost everything, and there is a lot more detail to come. Kerry has not run a negative campaign. Meanwhie, Cheney-Bush give us no details on anything except make tax cuts (for the very rich especially) permanent and stay the source in Iraq (a seriously offtrack reckless course as we now see).
Also, many of Bush's past pledges like AIDS relief, hydrogen cars, man on Mars, Faith-Based were quickly abandoned. Clearly they were only thought upo as poll boosters and when they failed to boost they were forgotten. What wasn't forgotten are tremendous boondoggles and porl barrel spending projects like SDI which is hugely expensive, has no real purpose and doesn't work.
Other than that, Cheney-Bush are letting polluters do anything they want, driving up record deficits, their health care and education policies need serious reform, they are way behind on doing anything about jobs loss, they are more or less in their bunkers raising money and lobbing negative ads.
Also, those Cheney-Bush ads are almost 100% pure lies. All those taxes they say JK will raise, all BS except for over $200,000 a year just back to Clinton levels which is quite reasonable. The defence votes and gas tax ads are not only false but don't tell you top Republicans including Cheney and Bush Sr. agreed with those ideas and votes. |
