You brought up the volunteer status, which suggests that you think volunteering is not as valuable as providing one's skills for appropriate remuneration. Is it your position that the kidnapped volunteers are more disadvantaged than other hostages would be since they are underpaid or unpaid. Hence, we should be concerned for their well-being to a greater degree...!?!

You said the hostages took the risk in order to make the big bucks........suggesting that if one takes a big risk sometimes it doesn't work out and that's their problem not yours.

My response was that the Japanese were not there to make money but were trying to do some good. In fact, they were trying to bring purer drinking water to S. Iraq.

However, the bottom line is that three people and many more are likely to be dead today thanks to this travesty of a war. What are you going to do when they are burned alive today?
