In the absense of any solutions offered by real Kerry supporters, here's what I'd do if I were Kerry. I'd call the UN and Europe bluff. I'd announce that the US is immediately turning over the entire matter to the UN, that although the US intentions may have been good, the PR and the planning have been mistakes, the "intelligence" a fiasco, BUT we want to bring peace and freedom and democracy to Iraq. It's time to go forward and the international community needs to take it over. OK - now pause - how many French, Russian, UN jaws drop before they filibuster this one around for months or years, with no change?
