Kerry's tax plans are very-very important and will definitely help keep jobs in the US, make health care more afordable, send more kids to college and start to wipe out Cheney-Bush's mammoth deficits. But he's also going to need to cut spending, and that's going to mean taking on special interests and pork barrel spenders who are legion in the Delay congress and Cheney-Bush gang.

For instance, we now know SDI doesn't work, yet Cheney-Bush deployed it at a cost of something like 12 billion. Why the hell are we spending that money? North Korea doesn't even have ICBM's. And CHina's not going to attack us, they depend on our consumers and out-sourcing for their booming economy. SDI was a Rummy pet project left over from the Cold War. My laser physicist friend tells me they "have nothing". None of it works yet and may never.
Cut that plus Cheney-Bush's new nuclear programs and that saves a lot right there.

Also, corporate and agribusiness welfare. Huge expenditure.
