And we looked the other way, because we were safe. Yes, how true! In every respect. Since 1997 at least, when we Americans were warned that terrorists could be in this country....the blinders started to be put on... And I agree, that the terrorists can NEVER beat us! They could hurt us badly...could cause another event worse than 9-11 by a lot...could do all the WMD things that thinking folks think about occasionally....but they won't EVER beat us. That is, unless people eventually all roll over with their feet to the sky, and let it happen. The folks that think the economy is more important than beefing up security, or our military, or the National Guard are assuming that we will NEVER again have anything happen on our shores, nor to ANY American again. These same folks want to think about "that" when or if it happens, and then deal with it. And these same folks are the ones that are yapping like little banshies that there was a August 2001 memo saying that Al Qaeda had warned us they would cause a big, BIG, event in the US. WHERE WERE THEY THEN????? And WHAT exactly did they propose to do in the month before 9-11 that would have stopped anything. Isn't hindsight terrific?
