Junior was convinced that Iraq had to be invaded even before he was appointed president. He made his case with lies to get approval from congress and the American public. The funny thing is that if he had finished the job in Afghanistan and waited till a few months before the election this fall to invade Iraq he would have won in a landslide. I wouldn't have voted for him but I bet he would have gotten close to 60% of the vote and maybe more. The way it is he isn't going to get back in unless something drastically changes between now and election time. I just hope his advisors don't convince him to invade Iran without NATO or at least the UN. Syria would be bad enough. North Korea might be worse than Iran. I think there is a possibility that he may start talking tough about Cuba. He may be desperate enough to try to convince the public that Fidel has to be taken out.

He also may have a chance to use his "war president" status again if Musharraf is no longer head of Pakistan for some reason. Then there is also Saudi Arabia, but they are his families business partners. Perhaps if Bin Laden would be able to get a civil war going there junior could jump in.

Bottom line is junior may be convinced that he has to have another war to have a chance in the election. If he or his advisors determine that is his only chance then we will have another war.
