I wanted to say thanks to Jimmy, Judy, Nancy, Bevvy & a host of others that were posting and e-mailing me over the last 3 days..
I needed to clear my head from all the noise and bulls**t.. For me I was too close to this entire market.. Watching the tape and posting here on SI is NO GOOD for someone like me<<ggg>>
I'm going to be here, but on a limited basis.. Being a compulsive addictive person, i can't afford the buzzing that's going on around me.. It really screws with my head..
My wife Arlene said after my marathon on last Fri, watching the market, posting here, posting there, and staying online from 6:00 am to late Fri nite, she said STOP IT NOW!!.. Hey I do what she says all the time<<VBG>>
We talked about my option positions and what I was going to do on MON...I took the weekend off & relaxed with friends and family like a normal person would<gg>>..
She said let's wait for Mon am early and see what the foreign markets do, and then we'll watch the futures and make our decision then.. In the meantime Jimmy G, & a host of friends e-mailed me their thoughts, and boy did that help.. Thanks again to all of you that were so kind..
So Mon comes and I STAND PAT.. I sold nothing..I still hold every option position today, and will begin to liquidate over the next 2 weeks as I originally planned anyway..But i was too confused to be rational... I can't do that!! I have my own "feelies"" and I have to trade/invest on MY own instincts..
I can say in all candor, that this thread is my home..I can not begin to tell all of you how much I love & respect you..It's been a wonderful and rewarding experience for someone like me...
I am NOT leaving this thread, just not going to be here every day.. I Can't & won't do it...I will from time to time post anything that I think can help us all.. I will be e-mailing to several friends on a weekly basis..I have the utmost regards for a lot of smart people here..
In any case FWIW, you know i like Dorsey Wright..They are becoming more and more bearish based on technicals only..We all feel that obviously this is not 87', that's what I was afraid of... But there was NO meltdown, and of course we are rallying as we speak..
I will continue to post their parameters and sentiments on this markets direction..I saw Tom Dorsey on CNBC and really liked him.. BTW Bernie faxed me on Mon am to sell my OEX calls.. Folks I never did it..I took that as a contarrian indicator for me, i swear, this guy is a yo-yo right now..So i'm holding my OEX's at an average of 3 & cue and feel I should have NO problem getting my total investment back shortly..I will however still send all his stock selections via mail to my cohorts here...
Another important factor with my HOLD decision was TIME.. I have 5 weeks till opp exp.. A very long time in ANY market..
Anyway I will be talking to all of you from time to time..I want to say thanks to all of you for your friendship and support..I wish you what I wish myself, health, wealth and happiness...
