JDN, you're an intelligent man and wise in years. So why is it that you can't see that we have lost face in Iraq? We are seen as an occupying force with a purpose 180 degrees opposed to Moslems. How do you suppose we'll ever sell them on our version of democracy? They think (& I do too) that the Americans just want the oil. So I ask you. Is that oil worth giving up our democracy? The Right & the Left have no dialogue anymore. There's no coming to compromises of opposing views, when you just want to mow down the opposition a la CYBERKEN. Is the oil worth it? I'm sure you'll agree we're better off repairing our damaged Democracy.
