DAK is right. The most important reasons for a lot of immigrants joining the US citizenship is due to one of the 2 following reasons:

1) to get PR for their parents/spouses/children/brothers/sisters (citizens have much higher priorities to sponsor their relatives);

2) to get the welfare/social benefits they have paid for years in their tax as legal immigrants but have been denied since 1996.

Since those reasons are not applicable for me, so I keep my citizenship of origin.

elmat, I am not sure what do you mean? As far as I know, in terms of the tax return, PR (perminent residents) has the same treatment as US citizens.
