What will make them change?

What made Christians change? I guess I should say "start to change" because the change still has a way to go. Some folks are more evolved than others.

I think they are going to change the way another pride-filled culture - the Japanese - changed. After a major catastrophe.

If the salient difference between them and us is the pride/shame thing, then it's not the religion thing in which chase you should be directing your comments at Arabs rather than Muslims. The best I can tell, Islam isn't significantly different from Christianity. Both have holy books, creation myths, afterlives and rules for getting there, prophets, rituals, moral standards, front men. Each has its ugly side and their benevolent side.

When I was married, back in the dark ages, I couldn't own property in my own name in the state of Pennyslvania. Modernism of Christianity is recent and still a work in progress. Sure, the heady days of the Crusades and the Inquisition are long past. Sure, Islam isn't as far along. But different? I don't see it.
