The major media has gone from being journalists to being celebrities. Too many of them are simply too lazy to do the proper footwork. It's much easier to simply rewrite the admin's (or anyone else's) talking points or press releases.

Whatever happened to scooping the competition? Now it's just checking to see if you have the exact same story as the competition but prettier talking heads and more exciting graphics.
