The recent uprising in Iraq are being conducted by those who are not a product of the AQ terrorist camps. They resulted from the US staying on in Iraq and foisting their own lackeys. As more Iraqis die (felled by "Christian bullets" as the mullahs will say), the more converts to violence will emerge. I don't have to produce membership numbers in support of my rationale. This is a no brainer.

The Muslim world supported the US when it went into Afghanistan. The moderate Muslims did not want to go after the Muslim radicals themselves and were glad that the US was doing the work for them. They probably even supported Bush when he provided them with the WMD intelligence. But now when the US has captured Saddam and have convinced themselves that there are no WMD, they should plan to turn over Iraq to the UN and reduce their role considerably. Instead, they are busy putting their own people (Iraqis) in positions of power before they leave. And that is what the Iraqis detest.

They have to be very careful what they do in Falluja. The world is watching how Bush handles this. Will they arrest Sadr or will they negotiate with him. Bush cannot call Sadr a terrorist and equate him to AQ. So it is a very sensitive issue and Bush's diplomatic skills will be put to test. This is going to make or break his re election bid, IMO.
