The Muslim world supported the US when it went into Afghanistan. All I know about the Muslim world is what I read in the papers and when we went into Afghanistan, I read the Muslim world was going to be outraged at us because it was just before Ramadan. All these people who knew the Muslim world so well said there would be a worldwide uprising if we fought Muslims during Ramadan. They said it would create massive numbers of new terrorists. They said all the things they always say. This and other events have taught me to disregard all those who say they are experts on Muslims and we better not do this and we better not do that.

.. should plan to turn over Iraq to the UN and reduce their role considerably. Uh, we should turn it over to an Iraq government I think. The UN administering Iraq would be a disaster. The fantasy that UN has some inherent respect we don't should have been dispelled after the Iraqi terrorists blew up the UN mission there. If the UN can help the Iraqis organize elections that's OK though.

Falluja - the US needs to exercise a very strong hand there. Do it professionally and with as little loss of innocent as possible. But kill or capture all those with fight in them.

Sadr - he should be arrested as he is an indicted murder suepect.

To coddle our enemies is bad. It weakens our friends and strengthens our enemies.
