American Public's propensity to be gullible Not only are they gullible but a lot more of them are flat out wrong or misinformed about some of the main issues. I listened to a call in talk show on CSPAN a few days ago and was amazed at how many people called in and supported their cause with false information. Out of maybe 40 people who called in and used what they thought was a fact to support their position i'd say that close to three quarters were using completely wrong facts. Most of the people who were wrong were on the right but not by a whole lot. The funny thing about the people who called in was that you could guess which side each person was on by the tone of their voice even before they declared this. The left speakers were almost always soft spoken while the right was almost always loud and arrogant. ------------- edit.....karl must be getting even more worried... I have CNBC on and there has been one of his anti Kerry ads on at every break. It's mostly been the one about voting for higher taxes 350 times. I would have figured they would have been shamed into pulling that ad by now.
