Harold,
As I said before, I'm still around. Also, I see, are you, Rick D, Robin (with her small holding). I haven't heard hide or hair of paul. Probably several others are still around, but just too bored or disgusted to post anything here.
Yesterday I flew back from Newark to San Francisco and I happened to start a conversation with the guy next to me who, it turns out, was a biochemist who was mentored by T. Colin Campbell at Cornell in Graduate School. In fact, he started talking about Paracelsian even before I mentioned that I knew about the company. He was never a direct employee, but he made several trip to China to help Campbell collect some of the TCMs. He not only knows Campbell, but also Babish, Koch, Ip, Chien (the contact in China), and of course Rhodes, among others. He has made numerous trips to CHina and is wuite knowledgable about TCMs. He currently works for Roche (who incidentally owns my company, Genentech). He told me about Campbell's new attempt at a venture to correlate the disease states of various areas of CHina with diet (called BioMar, or something like that?). He owns a ton of shares of PRLN along with Campbell. He reiterated that Rhodes is destroying the company and that the board is trying to oust him in order to save the company. He obviously knew about AndroVir and AndroCar, but I didn't get too many new details except that he discussed how AndroVir works more upstream than the other inhibitors being marketed. He was quite impressed with the screening technology (which was given to Dow, and then not utilized) and thought that it would be a great success in CHina and elsewhere around the world. The more I talked with him, the more I remembered why I was interested in Paracelsian in the forst place, and the more I felt that Rhodes had really destroyed an excellent company with excellent prospect. He was quite vehement in his attitude towards Rhodes (gee, you think he was a reader of this thread!). I mentioned about our our thread and he said I could mentioned that I talked to him.
There is nothing really new here, but I did get a completetly independent (at least of this thread and the company press releases, my main sources of info lately) perspective on what is going on at Paracelsian.
