you're probably right, i have a friend who works in medical research and he says he spends most of his time cooking up crapola the feds have targeted as things they'd like to see researched and are willing to dump $$$'s into. so the money drives the work, not the other way around.
i suppose my comments were more of an emotional response to what i'm sseeing happen as the result of our dependancy of oil for energy than anything else.
