<<Sadr needs to be dealt with, but much better if an Iraqi did the job.>>

As much as I'd like to see us do the job you're probably right.

<<Cheney-Bush have already failed and barring a miracle they will not change course.>>

They've not failed. Troops were sent to Afghanistan which has resulted in placing the terrorists on the run. The decision to then invade Iraq (regardless of WMD's) was solid as well as it put the US in a position to deal with other terrorist groups on all sides (Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia etc.). The placement is perfect! It's hard to plan an attack on US soil when the US has brought its forces to your backyard. Far from failure, the troops have done exactly what they signed up to do - protect Americans. In 45 minutes we lost some 3,000 lives on 9/11 and while I feel for the families who have lost loved ones in Iraq their sacrifices have probably saved countless more civilian lives in the US.

<<We need reinformcements from the rest of the world, and more legitmacy>>

I don't think we're in need of any help. In fact I'd say just the opposite. You know if the French are offering troops (as they are) that the ugly part is close to being over. Only now do they offer help and that offer is contingent on a piece of the financial action. I'd tell them to stuff it and make sure they eat their financial losses from banned trade with Iraq between 91 and 2003.
