Steve, regarding Kingston, I think they are one of these large memory assemblers...

...like PNY and Viking. I suspect they manufacture their own cards.

In this regard, keep an eye out for card failures. The new digital SLR's are a totally
different breed and issues like write speed, reliability and data corruption will start
to show up. I feel pretty strongly about this. My only non-SanDisk card is a 512MB Viking
card that has been replaced once and still gives me errors on my Olympus C-5050. I think it
is clearly a controller issue and a lack of investment by the manufacturer in product engineering
and compatibility. In this area SNDK truly leads.
