One of the basic tenets of investing is "never fall in love with any stock". Investing in Globalstar and Iridium is wise in my opinion. No one knows for sure which one will come out on top. Maybe both will, in any case you still win because it has to be one of the two. I am interested in where the information can be obtained about the whom and when of Globalstar launches. The most recent info that I have is the March 31, 1997 prospectus from Globalstar. I do agree that both stocks are pushing the limits of sensibility with this huge runup on virtually no news. The only possibility is a very positive analysis report on Iridium by Goldman Sachs and a positive Barron's article on Globalstar. However, the fact remains that neither of the two has a product to sell at this point.
By the way, this post is also frequently used as a means of "pulling the chains" of our adversaries and that is probably where some of the info that stretches the realm comes from.
