The number to call for information was 212-983-1702. Ask for Maria Elena regarding Elamex corp. The Peso has been gaining strength against the US dollar this year. It curently cost 7.77 Pesos to buy $ 1 US dollar. I will not be tracking the Peso to see how it might effect ELAMEX. I believe someone earlier said that at that time it took 6.5 Pesos to buy $ 1 dollar. I also plan to try to determine how much a 1 peso change (ie. up to 8.77 peso: 1 dollar) will effect future ELAMEX earnings. Remember, expenses like payroll (5,000 employees) and ulitilities are paid in Pesos so the fewer Pesos per dollar recieved, the more it costs in US dollars to run the company (the higher the expenses). However, revenues are contracted in US dollars so even if ELAMEX gets fewer Pesos per US Dollar to pay there expenses, the revenues will remain unchanged.
