My impression with commodities futures (please correct if I'm wrong) is that they are high maintenance, requiring that you roll over every single contract fairly frequently, generating lots of churn, lots of fees, and tax paperwork.

How often do you end up rolling them over? Also, is it possible to remove the implicit charges for the leverage provided? I have no interest in paying interest for leverage.
