Assuming everything you say is right, what would you do? Would you leave tomorrow? Wouldn't this create either a civil war or domination by Shiites clerics? The Kurds would never stand for it. I don't know what the Sunnis would do. Minorities, including a substantial Christian community, would probably be massacred.

Also - consider that even Bush haters realize that there are now Al Queda and foreign fighters in Iraq. They say it is BECAUSE of Bush though. Irrespective of this, they aren't going to leave. They wouldn't leave Afghanistan.

So - again - assuming you are right, what would you do going forward?

It is highly unlikely that the UN, EU, NATO or anyone else will volunteer any soldiers or money to rebuild. I think all they will offer is BS and criticism.
