ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

Win XP Pro

Attempting to add a slave CD-ROM.

I believe I've set the jumpers correctly. Master on M and Slave on S. The daisey chain goes from Slave to Master. Both Drives hooked into MOBO. The slave drive shows up in the explore window but will not show CD contents when I put one in. It runs and acts like it is reading but nothing shows up.

BTW: this is a new baby so I can't spank it... yet.

Clone machine with AMD 2800 Barton 512 Front Cache. 512 Meg PC2700 RAM. It sorta makes my old 350 PII smell bad :)

Edit: Forgot to ask my question: Anyone have a solution or idea as to why the CD rom will not operate correctly? My last possible reason for it not working properly is it is just worn out and I need a new drive.
