Avionics were top notch. King IFR. IFR certified GPS. Two axis auto pilot. Instrumentation was fablulous. Fuel flow and CHT are nice.

No carb heat! Fuel injected.

I too like low wings. They look more modern too. But the two door access, and the bigger cabin of the 182 is nice. Passengers like the view from the high wing. But the low wing is more stable on the ground. Cessna versus Piper regarding long term support, the edge goes to Cessna. Turning visibility much better in low wing. You see, I'm having a hard time deciding. Both fly about the same. Those two doors are nice.....

I agree about retractables. I'm going to buy fixed gear. One less thing to worry about on final approach when the air is bumpy and the kids have to go to the bathroom.

Flying a brand new airplane is dangerous. You just can't get that "NEW" smell and look and feel out of your memory. But boy, was it fun! Did not grease the landing though. Next time.-g-
