TOKYO (Dow Jones)--Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp. (NTT), Japan's largest
domestic telephone carrier, said Tuesday that it and three other companies will
establish a company in Japan to create advertisements on the Internet.

DoubleClick Japan Inc. will be capitalized at Y180 million. NTT and NTT
Advertising Inc., an NTT unit, will invest 17% each, while the Japanese company
Trans Cosmos Inc. (J.TCS) will put up 56%. DoubleClick Inc. of the U.S. will put
up the remaining 10%.

The company will begin sales in October, and aims for sales of Y300 million in
the first year, the companies said in a statement.

DoubleClick will also conduct market surveys and develop and market internet
advertising software, the companies said.

NTT made a separate announcement earlier Tuesday that it is considering
investing in Asia Internet Holding, a Japanese company that connects Internet
services between Japan and other Asian countries.
