I've quit banging my head trying to get John M. to see exactly this same thing, and gave it up as hopeless over a year ago. He's also absolutely convinced that the New York Times is non-partisan. As far as I am concerned, life is too short to re-fight that battle with you. It doesn't mean that I don't value your opinion, or that I don't agree with you often. I've been quite snippy, even nasty, with people I otherwise agree with, simply because I rejected the thought process by which they derived their positions as being not rational. But then, I probably tell people to shut up too often. Feel free to snap back, it's ok.
