Len - I think it is madness that America supports the idea
that Israel built nuclear weapons and yet threatens others
with war and sanctions if they dare to.
Where is the equity in that?
I blame very very bad eschatology for such foolishness.
What most "christian sects" in America teach is that Jesus will
return in our future and rule the entire earth from a carnal
thrown in physical nation called Israel.
Because of this unscriptural premise they support the building and
defence of Israel as a nation with no regard to reason and justice.
The USA is just starting to be punished (Sept 11 - twin towers ) for this
extremely obvious favour to Israel and prejudice to Arab nations.
The only cure for any of this -
the USA blind support of a Christ rejecting state of Israel
( the passover Lamb was to point to Christ - the true "lamb of God" )
and the blind retaliation of Muslim nations ( they think God supports terror and vengeance )
is for all men everywhere to see the truth of what Christ taught.
Jesus showed men the answer - it was not fighting back - it was surrender.
It was ... expecting God the Father .. to judge men and nations.
The USA and Canada will suffer for forgetting God!!!
The Muslims may be used as the hand that spanks..
but remember that Rome was used to end Israel in 70 AD
but that was historically the beginning of the end for Rome as well.
God will judge - men aught to live for Him and forget about
forcing their brand of truth and justice on this earth.
Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves,
but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written,
Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst,
give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals
of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Jesus said this:
37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then?
Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born,
and for this cause came I into the world, that I should
bear witness unto the truth.
Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
To this Pilate asked Christ "what is truth"
Jesus is the truth - the rest is just "dust in the wind".
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth,
and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
