Didn't the co. move the whole Java Research Dept. from Ottawa to another location? To Utah?

In that case one might wonder what they are going to do with themselves now.

Or you might conclude something else:

1. Corel may be backing off on the timing of Java and recognizing that the full featured product is the real meat of the operation.

2. Corel is announcing this but not giving up on the project. Therefore I believe it is just going 'underground' into the 'forgotten file'. This might even fake out MSFT somewhat.

3. Since Cowpland said "we're dead if Java doesn't pan out" (a misquote perhaps) this is a bona fide opportunity to load up on stock a lot cheaper than it was yesterday. Nothing has really changed.

If you like the stock it just got cheaper. If you hate it you'll continue to poke holes in the company. In the stock market most everything can be a good deal, at the right price, and the best companies can be a bad deal, at a very high price.
