What is a mystery to me is why it would pop perhaps 80% on past news or rumors then settle back to $1.20 or so... but this time it went up about 5x in a matter of days and still seems to be holding in at a 3X gain in the low $3's.

Are there warrants or some other major overhang out there that would tend to put a lock on a price?

Insiders hold less than 20% so accumulation to gain control might be easier on the open market vs making a buyout deal... unless there are millions of options that could increase the float at these higher prices... I have to admit I didn't invest enough at the start to really dig this deep, but now after this sort of gain... some work is in order.
