Hi all,
Is there a post on this thread that illustrates the steps one would likely take to discover the geneology of an individual? This is new to me. I see all the links above but most assume you are starting at a point of time that is today.

I have a name who resided in Oklahoma City in 1959/1960 that I am trying to research. The surname is active in Oklahoma City today but I can't find any trace of this individual, of course it is possible he is deceased but no death records are coming up either. I might be looking in the wrong place. BTW is it necessary to pay for this sort of info?
