I'd prefer if someone held my hand and walked me through the significance. I understand what she wrote but not the context nor the reason it's being treated the way it's being treated.

She doesn't appear to be making new law, just applying existing law. So the people to go after, politically, are the ones who wrote the then-existing law, gutting both the FBI and the CIA and forcing them not to cooperate with each other. .
