Yup - but you certainly know it's not necessarily about who is the President. The underlings get as much play as Bush and this has been true of several administrations.

I thought Regan was incompetent when I first heard he was running and he turned out to be one of the most beloved and respected inhabitants of the White House. OTOH, Carter was probably the brightest President in our generation and look at his Presidential legacy. Go figure!

As for playing the clips, again, the electorate doesn't go for the negative stuff, and only the critics and the politicians themselves don't realize this <vbg>. Jay Leno et al will get the message across much more efficiently.
