You know what, Ray? I've changed my mind. When I heard the Bush/Sharon news this morning, my gut reaction was that this is an historic event. The pro-Israeli bias of our presidents has been steadily ratcheting up since Truman, and every step has been a political boon. I think this will be the first time in American history that a president loses political capital from such a move. I think, in the context of all of Bush's other blunders, this will cost him votes in November. JMHO ... Tom
