Ya know what though.....my take is that Bush said "screw the election - I'm going to do what I think is right."

I liked the call back then and I like it now.

This is a war we need to fight. I think several of you on this board agree with that but you just don't like Bush - that's fine. My concern is that I don't want Kerry to get elected and look for the first way to exit. We are trying to plant the seed of democracy in the middle of hell with hopes that it can upset the surrounding terrorist states to the extent that they move to a more moderate position. The fact that these states are a major source of the worlds energy makes this mission very important. The fact that these states have been the breeding ground for terrorist organizations that would like to destroy the US makes this mission VITAL! I don't care if you're a democrat or a republican - this is a war that must be fought and won.

We let our guard down and got complacent in the past few months and now our kids are getting killed. WE CAN'T DO THAT! EVER! These people we're fighting are willing to take war to a different level than Americans have had the balls to do since Vietnam. That has to end - NOW! We have to be willing to smoke and entire city, if that's what it takes, to prove to these f**kwads that Americans are strong. Right now they have us right where they want us - we look weak in the field and WEAKER AT HOME. I can tell you this - we aren't weak in the field. But back here in the states we have a bunch of gutless cowards with very short memories. I've heard estimates (and these estimates were agreed upon by both Republicans and Democrats) that there are between 1-3 million people involved in Muslim terrorist groups that would like to pull a bigger, better 9/11. I don't want to sit down and talk things out with these people. They're religious fanatics who would like to see our way of life come to an end and they'll stop at nothing to do it. We can talk until we turn blue and they'll still hate us. These people need to be terminated - period.

Most of you on this board believe in a secular Government. It may surprise some of you to hear that I do too. I'm a republican who believes in abortion rights (even though its not a choice I'd make), a degree of gun control, legalized pot and keeping religion out of Government. OTOH I believe that we need less Government, fewer social programs, better fiscal responsibility and should have school choice for our own kids even if that means I want to send my son to a Catholic school with an @$$ blasting Priest. So on a multitude of issues we're probably not that far apart. But when it comes to what I saw on 9/11 and have learned about the terrorist threat since then I can't help but also feel we have a lot of killing to do.

We let terrorism fester for 30 years because it didn't hit our shores. In that time it's grown and become a monster that we can no longer negotiate with or ignore. Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen, Egypt, Pakistan, N Korea and several other nations have GOT to hand over the extremists NOW. They must know we are serious or they wont do it. Right now I think those countries believe Iraq is the last stop in the war on terror. They must be told that its merely the second of many unless they comply. I'd like to see some other countries join us in this effort. France has talked of sending troops if they get a cut of the deal. After what they pulled I'm not sure I want them to get a cut of anything. Besides - cutting them in is a hefty price to pay for battle field cooks. That said I think we (the US) should worry about who gets what after the 1-3 million terrorists are stacked in a pile. France, Russia, Germany, China and some others had better start thinking about joining the battle because it has long lasting implications if we allow terror groups to dictate global policies.

Support Bush - Support Kerry - I don't care

JUST SUPPORT THE WAR! OUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT AND SO DO OUR TROOPS

End of rant
