What you say is both true and logical. I just don't know if the terrorists and the states the live in can be reasoned with. They hate our culture - they hate our Religion - they hate our freedom. I really believe that even if we found an alternative energy source and could disconnect from the Middle East that those terrorist groups would still want us dead. Cyndwllr - I have no answers and my POV may be all wet. But I think we have all the makings of a 20 year war on our hands unless many of those states moderate their view of the US. I don't want it but I don't know if we can hash this one out over a cup of coffee
