"They said screw the US, UN and the Globe for their own financial gain."

I'd buy an American dishwasher except my service tech is putting his kids through college thanks to Whirlpool. (Bosch isn't French, fortunately).

First step in my 12-step program is to stop wasting time in a WalMart.

The French have entitlements to maintain and an explosive Muslim population growth to be aware of. Not aware of anyone in Europe or the UN wanting Americans to "murder" Saddam. They want him to be exiled or jailed. The UN made the mistake of turning its back on the Iraqi people.

Americans blew up Iraq's $80 million Alcatel(french) telecommunications infastructure paid for and smuggled in through UN's oil-for-"food" program.

Europe was a technology powerhouse in the 90's on the cellphone boom. But, that boom has fizzled.

Europe needs cash.

I don't dislike Chaney at all. Halliburton got the contracts because they are the only US company I know of with the connections, manpower, and means to get the job done in a war zone.

Anyone claiming different had better be quick with naming alternatives.
