Michael Moore v John Kerry

Notice the conflict between the words of Michael Moore and those of John Kerry. Which one speaks for liberals? Does Michael Moore support Kerry and if he does why?

First Michael Moore:
Wednesday, April 14th, 2004 Heads Up... from Michael Moore
.....
Those are not “contractors” in Iraq. They are not there to fix a roof or to pour concrete in a driveway. They are MERCENARIES and SOLDIERS OF FORTUNE. They are there for the money, and the money is very good if you live long enough to spend it.
.....
The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win. Get it, Mr. Bush?
.....
enjoy the "pacification" of Falluja, the "containment" of Sadr City, and the next Tet Offensive – oops, I mean, "terrorist attack by a small group of Baathist loyalists" (Hahaha! I love writing those words, Baathist loyalists, it makes me sound so Peter Jennings!) -- followed by a "news conference" where we will be told that we must "stay the course"..

Yes, we get it Mr. Moore - the people we're fighting in Iraq are the good guys who are fated to win and we are the bad guys. We should pull out as fast as possible.

Now John Kerry:

Americans of all political persuasions are united in our determination to succeed. The extremists attacking our forces should know they will not succeed in dividing America, or in sapping American resolve, or in forcing the premature withdrawal of U.S. troops. Our country is committed to help the Iraqis build a stable, peaceful and pluralistic society. No matter who is elected president in November, we will persevere in that mission.

A pretty big difference there. Like night and day.

Now, you have to ask yourself - why is Michael Moore supporting John Kerry? The only plausible explanation is that Moore thinks Kerry is lying.
