Since we just invited Suma here, and since I just posted a Molly Ivins article, and since MI is one of the people I would like to spend a day with over coffee and/or beer, I was wondering who we could "invite" for a virtual party. I was originally going to suggest 5 people, but I have been able to hold it down to 8.

Folkses I would like to go drinking with:
Molly Ivins
Mickey Hart (drum anthropologist, Headwaters defender, and
sometimes drums for a rocknroll band
Utah Phillips (Singer-songwriter)
Krugman
O'Franken (we need an Irishman, but, funny, he doesn't look goyish)
Mikie Moore
Warren Buffet , cuz, if we are drinking all afternoon, we need a buffet available. Sorry. No I'm not.
And finally, I started out with Clinton, but I decided we might want to make some music, and a sax won't fit. Then, I thought of Wes Clark, who has a world view much like Clinton's. But, what does he play? So, I decided we needed a guitar player named Kerry.

Leaves out a lot of interesting folks, like Tutu, the dancing Nobelwinner, and the Great Mandela, who could have told us about the Great Mandala. Maybe next time?
