At this point they are being occupied. If they want to feel liberated I believe they hold some of the cards that will lead them to be liberated. They need to hand over the thugs currently creating trouble. They need to take stock in their own future by stepping up the way our founding fathers did and run with this opportunity. Given the quality of life they've had over the past 15 years I really believe they have one hell of a great opportunity. Their natural resources alone could pay for the building of infrastructure and a society of great wealth. If spent wisely the money made from oil could make most middle eastern countries the envy of the globe in terms of quality of life. But you're right....to the ordinary Iraqi I'm sure things look bleak. I just wish they would trust us but that isn't going to happen.
