Dale, It looks like Vivus policy intent differs from policy compliance in some cases regarding scripting and sales of single doses of Muse. Investor relations indicate they have a policy in place that is designed to facilitate single dose sales. Two key drug chain outlets here in KY (Walmart and Revco) don't know about the policy and do not break open six-packs of Muse for single sales. No scripts for single doses written. Vivus indicated they were planing a mailing Friday 8/15 to the medical folks which will restate and build on their current policy. Looks like a "feet on the street" deal to me. Memos can get trashed, reps can generally get an audience. Growing pains, maybe. I hope growing pains and short staff are responsible for them not getting back to you on your request for samples or the conference you attended regardless of how far from typical your practice is. Keeping their expanding family of Docs, customers and pharms happy and informed is probably central to their marketing plan.<grrrrriiinn> Good luck with your move and get back on line soon, it seems to take everyone available to row this boat.
