That is were the difference(s) between two-party and multi-party, especially the center-based ones, step(s) in.

- those who need somebody to blame and hate every day should have the freedom to form their own parties
- however, to form functional majorities (50%) to govern, these smaller-or-larger groups must be offset by a moderate center.
That, me and many thinks, is when it is getting closer to the "God Bless", as well as just "Bless" and the Reaganomorals of the "Evils" (plus those old witch-hunts, old and new demones and spinning them)
PS That is why it looks so bad...
Active exclusion of the "warm and cozy" is one thing, active inclusion of "the hate-them-those-there" is another thing.
Ref the documented sentence by Nixon "first you go for ("activate") the extremes, and in the final you go for the (moderate) middle" (primary,etc US elections, those "swing-votes", after the extremes have been "activated")
