You are speaking NONSENSE. Our statements are in direct opposition. You said: So what? The poor don't have the money to pay, and the rich pay a way higher percentage and MORE THAN CARRY THEIR WEIGHT. After I said: "I said that they are the beast of burden for our government --- that they pay a HIGHER AVERAGE EFFECTIVE TAX RATE then the VERY poor and the VERY rich" >>> Yah gotta define your terms before you can compare our claims... for example, what is the VERY Rich, and what is the VERY poor? >>> One measure might be to compare the average effective tax rates for the top fifth and the bottom fifth of our taxpayers.... If you do that you see they are nearly exactly the same: about 18% for the bottom fifth, and about 19% for the top fifth. >>> But if 'VERY rich' is just the top 400 or 500 richest Americans (which is what I was meaning) then you see that they pay --- by far --- the lowest average effective rate, compared to any fifth of the sample group you look at. >>> When you said this: "the rich pay a way higher percentage", that was absolutely and totally FALSE.
