The Mormons have done a great job collecting records, BUT some of their earlier family records are in error. The info is only as good as the people who put it in, and earlier, some of the folks were not checking every single little fact before they published the material.

I use nearly every record I find as a clue, not as a "fact" unless the record is a basic record, like birth or death certificate...(even then, I have found a couple of death certificates wrong...usually on the mothers last name spelling)

Documentation is really important, if the result is going to mean anything.
