Clarke was ordered by the White House or Powell. What spin do you want to put on it? That Clarke did it himself or that the FBI ordered him? Nice try. but Cheney-Bush are the guilty parties here. Everyone knows their long-standing close ties to the Bin Laudens and top Saudis. Clarke and the FBI have no such ties. And they would be fired or worse if they let these possible suspects go without high level orders. Newsmax and others are busy trying to spin this out of existence but it won't hunt. Cheney-Bush have animpeachable offense here they are going to need to fully explain. Even hardcore Republicans will turn away if they know the Bush-Bin Lauden connection. It is real and this is part of the evidence.
