OFF TOPIC RANT: You know what they say about California Workers' Comp....It's the highest rates with the lowest benis.... Makes' one scratch their head....YOU KNOW....I'm a little worried...Because the insurance COMMISSIONER....JOHN Gerramindi...(sp)...can't even tell you what's going to happen....He doesn't even hav a grasp of what is going to happen...I think we really in trouble... (ARNOLD doesn't hav a clue either...) As an example...YOU KNOW....Physical Medicine and Rehab...is using a billing code...SYSTEM...from 1997. ....for chrissake... (Medi Cal...believe it or not..is using a billing payment system from 1987...thanks to EDS a Texas Corporation)...i digress... the rest of the country....the entire rest of the world...has morphed to a new coding system. Callifornia Physical Medicine and Rehab...essentially hasn't had a 'RAISE' since the late 80's....they essentially are reimbursing what they reimbursed in the late 80's and early 90's... Show me another industry that hasn't had a raise in 12 years... Show me another industry (third party carriers) who pay the least in benefits in the entire nation...and have the highest rates....(and i'll show you where the fat is in the system..) They wan't to throw blame at why all of the LUMBER COMPANIES go out of biz in california...(supposedly work comp rates).....(I THINK THEY POINTING THE FINGER AT THE WRONG PEOPLE) I think they look where the money going and maybe the lumber companies and the small biz's that get forced out of biz should be pointing the finger at the third party carriers... Okay...I had my coffeee and my OFF TOPIC rant for the morning... but i think the political wrangling hav some fall out at the national level... hav a nice day. bye.
