Republicans can ONLY destroy themselves in PA if they FAIL to end the career of Specter. Toomey's a sure bet with Bush carrying 60+% in teh state against Kerry. If the Republicans show enough unity against Specter, a Rendall VP nomination won't move PA buy a single point.

After all, Philadelphia already "turned out" 100%, while Tom Ridge picked his nose and nooded is head like a retard. It's doubtful-with America's increased diligence after the Great Vore Fraud of 2000, that crooked Democrat machine city can get to 150%.

If OTOH, the Republicans re-nominate Specter-they will decline to the level that California Republicans did in the 90's, and it will take a decade for them to begin to recover.

Bush wins PA either way. Kerry's campaign is already stillborn. PA is not even a "battleground state" in the presidential race (Vermont may be the only "battleground state this year.) But Specter loses, even to a yellow dog, this year...
